Other Terms and Conditions :

1. After completion of the probationary period of 6 months, 10% of the basic salary
will be given as Dearness Allowance.

2. Senior Secondary Teachers will get an allowance of QRs. 500/- per month.

3. Teachers who teach CBSE – i ( international curriculum ) will get an allowance of
QRs. 200/- to QRs. 700/- per month.

4. Teachers will get biennial air ticket to their hometown ( to and fro ) after
completion of two years.

5. Shared accommodation is provided to the teachers in our Staff Quarters.

6. Teachers who do not stay in the Staff Quarters will get HRA.
Couples – QRs. 1,800/- per month ; Bachelors / Spinsters – QRs. 800/- per
month.

7. Teachers will get Health Card as per Qatari Law.

8. All Teachers who complete 2 years of service will get an increment of 5% of their
basic salary. But this will be on the basis of their performance – with the
approval of the Board of Directors.

9. Each Subject in charge will get an allowance of QRs. 150/- per month.

10. All Teachers who complete one full academic year of service will get the vacation
salary for 2 months. One month’s salary will be given at the time of leaving and
another month’s will be given when they resume duty.

11. Two of a teacher’s children will get 50% concession in Tuition fees and the
second child will get 50% concession in Special fees also.

12. The teacher and two of his / her children can commute free in the School Bus.

13. As per Qatari Labour Law, gratuity / end-of-the-service benefits is calculated by
taking 21 days per year into account ( for the first five years ). From the 6 th year, it will be calculated by taking one month per year into account. A Teacher should have completed a minimum of one year in order to get gratuity /
end-of-the-service benefits.

14. Teachers are not allowed to resign during the middle of a term. If resigned,
their salary for the remaining days of that month or the remaining month /
months of the term will be deducted from the final settlement. All expenses
incurred in the process of their recruitment will be recovered from them.

15. If teachers fail in the medical examination which they have to undergo in Qatar
or if they do not perform well, they will be sent back at their own expense.
School will not provide air ticket / air fare.

16. If teachers have been shortlisted for PSC / State Board / Central Board
vacancies, their selection as teachers in Birla Public School remains invalid. If
they reach Doha hiding this factor, and later get posting in any of the vacancies
and want to go back, they will have to bear all the expenses borne by the School
until then.

17. Teachers will not have winter vacation. If any teacher takes leave, there will be
loss of pay.

18. If the teacher submits his / her resignation before the completion of the contract
period or if he / she fails in the Medical Test in Qatar or if his / her Visa
stamping is denied for any other reason, he / she has to go back to his / her
native country on his / her own expense

Minimum Qualification for Teachers:

PGT - Teachers should have minimum 5 years experience in taking CBSE Syllabus
of Class XI and XII(Should have Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed)

TGT - Teachers should have minimum 3 years experience in taking CBSE Syllabus
of Class VI to X(Should have Post Graduate Degree with B.Ed)

PRT - Teachers should have minimum 3 years experience in taking CBSE Syllabus
of Class I to V(Should be a Graduate with B.Ed)

We urgently require two candidates for the following posts :

1. Junior Headmaster / Headmistress – Activities
2. Junior Headmaster / Headmistress – CBSE – i

The candidate for the above posts should be Trained Post Graduates with 5 years Administrative experience, and 5 years of Teaching experience in SeniorSecondary School. They should be well versed in CBSE rules and regulations.

Applications are invited from qualified candidates with public school experience, excellent communication skills and proficiency in computer skills.
We require only CVs of candidates with a proven track record, excellent organization skills and quest for excellence.

The Headmaster / Headmistresses will be the liaison between teachers and Board of Directors / Principal / Vice-Principal. They should oversee all daily operations of the school including establishing policies, student enrolment, training and supervision of teachers, meeting with parents, etc. They should have considerable experience both in supervision of teachers as well as the methodologies and current practices in teaching and effective school management.

The Headmaster / Headmistresses will have to supervise all new teachers, complete performance evaluations as required and work with staff to improve or excel in various aspects of their teaching. Birla Public School often focuses on a particular area of study such as music, arts, science or technology so that the Headmaster / Headmistresses will incorporate this speciality within her development and implementation of the curriculum.

A major aspect of the Headmaster / Headmistresses is to oversee the emotional, social, educational and physical well-being of the students. They will have to interact with children and usually deal with disciplinary issues, especially if they are serious or problematic for the classroom teacher. The Headmaster / Headmistresses usually communicate serious concerns to the parents and may make recommendation to the parents regarding the child’s placement or continued enrolment in the school. They have to work closely with the families to support the children and to ensure the highest possible education standards while still allowing the children to have time to enjoy school and focus on an area that they are interested in.

The common work activities of the Headmaster / Headmistresses include :

1. Training, supervision, and evaluation of staff.
2. Mentoring and assisting new teachers or assigning mentors to new teachers from existing
staff.
3. Developing the curriculum, overseeing teaching and evaluating the student, parent, and
teacher satisfaction with the educational process at the school.
4. Coordinating ongoing teacher training and professional development.
5. Overseeing the various staff and parent committees that operate within the school.
6. Attending community events and representing the school during community or education
meetings.
7. Ensuring that all education requirements are being met for each student.
8. Arrange for special remedial teaching of the children who are weak.
9. Plan and specify a regular timetable for the scrutiny of pupils’ written work and home
assignment and ensure that the assessment and corrections are carried out timely and
effectively.
10. Organize and coordinate various co-curricular activities through the house system or in such
other effective ways as he / she may think fit.
11. Develop and organize the library resources and reading facilities in the school and ensure
that the pupils and teachers have access to and use of books and journals of established
value and usefulness.
12. Promote the physical well-being of the pupil, ensure high standard of cleanliness and health
habits.
13. Reporting to the Board of Directors of the School as and when required.

Salary would be around QRs. 6,000/- for the right candidate.
