Profile: Proven track record of management and business development within oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical service industries. Aged between 35 and 50, IT literate with the ability to liaise between client and company across all levels. Preferable to hold degree qualification in mechanical or chemical engineering.
1) Reporting to General Manager
2) Responsible for all aspects of the business function in the UAE
3) Carry out market research within target client base in UAE
4) Targeted business development from approval to tendering
5) Assist in the tender process including estimation
6) Sourcing of key sub-contract suppliers in the UAE

Title:Project Manager

Profile: Proven track record of management at site level of time critical shutdowns and turnarounds within oil & gas, petrochemical and chemical industries. Aged between 30 and 45, IT literate with the ability to liaise between client and company across all levels. Preferable to hold degree qualification in mechanical or chemical engineering.
1) Reporting to General Manager or Operations Manager.
2) Involvement in project bid process with regard to timescales, manning and equipment requirements.
3) Responsible for pre-planning and pre-engineering prior to shutdown.
4) Management of mobilization to client site and project set up.
5) Responsible for all direct site production matters.
6) Proactive management of health and safety on site.
7) Liaison with the Client and/or the Client’s representatives with regards to direct production matters.
8) Responsible for the Project expenditure, in line with the predetermined project guidelines.
9) Responsible for the expenditure of all agreed overtime working.
10) Responsible for work schedules in line with the agreed project key date schedule.
11) Responsible for material expenditure in line with agreed budget guidelines.
12) Responsible for the supervision of all site staff to include, leave, safety and absence reporting.
13) Responsible for plant, equipment, and vehicles onsite, to include daily maintenance procedures, reporting and record keeping.
14) Responsible for the Quality Control and Procedures of the project, and will produce all documentation in accordance with the Quality Project Specification, together with the COMPANY Company Quality Control and Procedures Manual.
15) Responsible for producing all project management reports.
a) The submission of all Production Reports.
b) Project progress status in line with the Project Key Date Schedule.
c) Project Labor weekly expenditure.
d) Project Material weekly expenditure.
e) Project Consumables weekly expenditure.
f) Project weekly overtime bids and expenditure.
g) The Project demands for materials/consumables purchases (minimum One week notice).
16) The commercial and technical matters are to be reported directly to the General manager and/or Operations Manager.
17) Responsible for the safe, efficient and cost effective operations of all aspects related to the works and in accordance with Company procedures and/or Customer requirements applicable to the works assigned.

Job purpose:


Produces fibre optic designs by studying project objectives; define a solution for fibre optic real-time monitoring and conduct the IVQ in Test Platform; supporting project implementation and on-field rollout.


Job description



Produce site detail designs for sites interconnected with F.O.
To define a real-time monitoring solution (write a scope of Work)
To set up a test platform for solution implementation, qualification and validation.
Implement and manage the supervision and management of the optical devices via a NMS by using the SNMP protocol.
Perform performance tests (L1 tests for fibre : OTDR, Power meter ; L2/L3 tests for network qualification: RFC2544 tests with a traffic generator and performance analyzer)
Write technical documents such as test plan, test procedures and test report.


Requirements


Minimum: 5 years experience


Good english writing skills


Good communication skills
Capable of working in a multicultural team


Technical Skills


Knowledge of Optical fibre (type of fibre, fibre measurement and qualification with tests tools,..)
Knowledge of optical active component (WDM solution, SFP transceiver, EDFA amplifier,…)
Good knowledge on Network Management and Supervision system and protocol (SNMP,…)
Knowledge on testing tools such as IxChariot, IxAutomate, IXIA chassis
Knowledge of Microsoft Windows, Excel, Power Point, Word, Visio
Knowledge of network protocols, routers and switches will be valuable:

-A thorough understanding of the OSI network model, Ethernet, and TCP/IP networking

-A practical level of experience implementing and administrating common

TCP/IP-based services, including DNS, DHCP, HTTP, FTP, SSH, SMTP, etc.
