Job Description:

Structural Analysis and Design as well as CAD and Graphic Detailing for Transmission Lines and Substations
Work independently on Transmission Line & Substation Projects requiring evaluation, selection, application of relevant engineering techniques and procedures
Preparation, Modification or Review Drawings, Specifications, B.O.Qs, Design Calculations, Charts and Graphs in compliance with applicable engineering codes and practices

Job Responsibilities: Shall include but not limited to

· Perform conceptual as well as detailed Analysis and Design of 110 kV through 400 kV Overhead Transmission Lines and Substations that includes Tower Spotting, Steel Lattice Tower Designs, Tower Foundation Designs, Lattice Gantry and Equipment Support Structural Designs, Foundation Design for Gantries and Equipment Supports.

· Perform Analysis and Design of RCC/Steel Structural Buildings, Pad Foundation for Transformers, Trenches, and Retaining Walls etc.

· Develop comprehensive Shop Drawings and Bill of Materials of designed structures.

· Review, Evaluate, Modify or Revise Designs and Shop Drawings in advance prior to construction

· Prepare B.O.Q from specifications and drawings and develop construction/tender cost estimates

· Coordinate and work with other disciplines such as Architectural/Civil and MEP works

Educational Requirements: Minimum B.Sc. in Civil/Structural Engineering

Additional Requirements:

· Proven Proficiency in PLS CADD, PLS TOWER, PLS POLE is a MUST

· Knowledge of STAADPro, ETABS, SAFE, PROKON, AutoCAD is an added advantage

· Excellent command of Microsoft office- especially excel

· Experience in Transmission and Substation Projects

· Thorough knowledge of codes - ACI, AISC, BS, ASTM, ASCE, IBC, IEEE Standards

· Familiar with scheduling Software (Primavera and Microsoft schedule)

Experience:

8 to 15 years Hands on Experience in designing of Transmission line and Substations: 110kV, 220kV & 400kV
