Qualification: B.S/B.E/B.Tech/M.Tech in Electrical Engineering
Experience: 10 to 15 years (Hands on) in designing of Transmission line for 110kV, 220kV & 400kV.
Location: Dubai
Technical Knowledge Required;
· Should have worked in design and detailed engineering for 110kV, 220kV & 400kV transmission Lines
· Should have hand on experience design and detailed engineering for conductor sizing, sag tension calculations, ice and wind loading, Calculations, routing, structure selection, insulator and hardware selection and sizing, reclosing and protection schemes for transmission lines
· Hands on experience for estimation, stringing and erection of over head line.
Duties & Responsibilities
• Engineering/technical expertise and guidance in the identification, analysis and resolution of problems
• Effective planning, organizing, estimating, scheduling and monitoring of work activities
• Thorough and accurate technical reports, correspondence, documentation, calculations and sketches
• Continuous improvement of job-related, engineering, technical and professional knowledge, skills and performance
• Single point of accountability for the successful planning, execution and closeout of projects which is accomplished through managing all aspects of projects including scope, schedule, cost, safety and quality as defined in the Project Management Book of Knowledge (PMBOK). Management of the project in accordance with Pike Policies and Procedures.
• Accurate records and files
Job Information
Proficient in engineering theories and principles.
• Proficient in practices of researching engineering and design issues, evaluating alternatives, making sound recommendations and preparing and presenting recommendations.
• Detailed knowledge of NESC code requirements and other industry codes and standards (e.g., NERC, FERC, ACI, AISC, IEEE, RUS, IEC etc.)
• Experience with current transmission line and structure design software (PLSCADD, PLS-Pole, PLS-Tower, PLS-Caisson, Sag10, AutoCAD, etc.)
• General understanding of Fixed Price, Time & Materials, Cost Plus and Unit contract pricing mechanisms.
• Experience in the utility industry.
• Proven success in developing and maintaining internal and external relationships while effectively navigating organizational barriers.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
