Workshop Supervisor for Heavy Equipment Division – BD 400 basic + 150 HRA

Workshop Supervisor: with extensive experience in the Heavy Trucks and construction equipment industry in similar roles and large organization for min 8 - 10 years. Should be a diploma in mechanical engineering with experience in working in a computerized environment (preferably with Kerridge auto line exposure). Must have good customer handling and technician coaching skills. Should be able to read and understand Electrical & Hydraulic schematics, familiarity with mechatronics systems and computerized diagnostics specially on IVECO Easy and VOLVO Tech Tool. Prior multifranchise dealership experience will be an added advantage.

Key Role:

To supervise the employees engaged in Repair and rebuilding / overhauling to ensure quality & efficiency of the operation.
To supervise the repair activities in the workshop, overhaul areas and to maintain repair and time records and ensure the repairs bay turnover, productivity, efficiency, redo % targets are achieved.
To achieve the revenue targets set for the Misc Services and to undertake all activities related to the job acquisition, estimation, customer follow-up & scheduling for the same.
To raise the appropriate request for parts, follow-up the non available items and allocate jobs based on parts availability, delivery priority and commitment given to customer.
To report any warranty problems for the vehicles and equipment in the warranty period to the warranty engineer. Work closely with warranty engineer to complete the repairs as per manufacturer’s specifications and provide necessary information for raising the warranty claims.
To arrange to implement the service campaigns, training programmes in close coordination with the warranty engineer & mobile team.
To maintain a proper daily receipt / delivery reporting system and to ensure ready unit details are handed over to the concerned for billing and delivery.
To guide technicians in fault diagnosis in the vehicle as and when required.
To assess the job nature and content for jobs carried out and allocate times where standard times are not available.
To authorise additional / allowance Hrs for difficult or stuck jobs.
To plan and arrange necessary resources (e.g lifting equipment, cranage, spl. Tools, jigs & fixtures etc..) & information (Service Manuals, schematics, etc..) for the technicians to carry out the jobs.
To visit customer sites for complex problem solving and job assessment and to be a functional expert in areas of Hydraulics, Pneumatics & mechanical systems.
To guide the Job & Material controller in analysing the repairs and necessary codification & material requisitioning.
